The course refreshes understanding of the knowledge and skills required to safely enter, exit, and perform work in permit-required confined spaces. The training emphasizes hazard assessment, planning, air monitoring, safety equipment, gear, and rescue.

Intended Audience 

University personnel who are involved in permit-required confined space activities are required to take this refresher course when there is a confined space hazard for which they have not already been trained, when there are deviations from procedures for permit-required confined space entry, or when their knowledge or use of procedures is inadequate.
