EH&S Guide for Principal Investigators
The Guide for Principal Investigators (PI Guide) is an introduction to Environmental Health & Safety for principal investigators (PIs) who are new to the University of Washington and is a reference tool for any principal investigator. It outlines your health and safety responsibilities as a PI and provides links to related resources. It lists related requirements for grant proposals, purchases and similar actions and outlines how to plan for emergencies and disasters.

Radiation Safety Manual
The University of Washington Radiation Safety Manual describes the University's radiation safety program.
Use of Radiation in Human Subjects Research
The Radiation Safety Committees of both the UW and Fred Hutch Cancer Center (FHCC) are charged with ensuring radiation is used safely in their facilities, for both patients and employees. To prevent redundancy and increase efficiency, the Human Subjects Radiation Approval Committee (HSRAC) functions as a centralized body to review and approve applications to use radiation in human subjects research.
MRI Medical Screening
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) medical safety screening assures the safety of all UW employees who may be exposed to the magnetic resonance magnet.
Dosimetry
EH&S issues dosimeters to individuals who are required to be monitored for occupational exposure to radiation.
