Fire Department Permits for Events

When hosting special events on a UW campus, a permit from your local fire department may be required. Additional permits may be required, depending on the circumstances of the event. Refer to the information below to determine the permits you need and how to apply.

For Seattle campus events, submit permit application(s) at least 30 days prior to the event to avoid extra fees in addition to the cost of the permit.

Facilities Projects Support

The Facilities Projects Support Program provides review, consultation and testing for construction projects impacting facilities occupied by UW personnel or students. Any project with potential to impact the safety of UW building occupants or maintenance personnel should include Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) as part of the project team.
