Lockout Tagout Awareness Online
Intended audience
This course is required initially for University personnel, such as shop supervisors or maintenance personnel, who work in areas where energy control procedures may be utilized.
Description
This course provides awareness-level training on hazardous energy sources. It covers isolating these sources during maintenance and repair and outlines communication and control procedures, including the use of tags and locks to limit access.
This course does not satisfy the requirement for machine-specific training.
This course does not satisfy requirements for personnel authorized to conduct maintenance or repair work on or around de-energized systems. These personnel are required to take the Lockout Tagout Hands-On course.
