Personnel who may encounter exposed energized parts but are not qualified to work on them must instead take the Electrical Safety in the Workplace course.

Personnel who do not encounter exposed energized electrical parts but want basic electrical safety awareness and recognition skills are advised to take the Electrical Safety Awareness Online course.

This course teaches safe work practices, personal protective equipment requirements, establishing electrically safe work conditions, and the responsibilities of "Qualified Electrical Workers." It includes group case studies on job planning, energized work permits, and mitigating the risk of arc flash and shock.
