This refresher course will provide information concerning asbestos containing material in University buildings, instruction on how to recognize damaged asbestos containing material, the health effects of asbestos containing materials and relationship to smoking, engineering controls and work practices, procedures to prevent exposure, building signage and warning labels.
Intended Audience
Employees who perform maintenance and custodial services in buildings with asbestos containing material that may be disturbed or contacted while working and who have completed the Asbestos Awareness 2-hour training.
