Refer to the University’s COVID-19 Prevention Plan for more information about required elements for resuming on-site operations, including procedures for sick personnel, symptom attestations, social/physical distancing, cleaning and disinfecting, and using required face coverings and PPE. Personnel must review and follow the requirements in the COVID-19 Back to the Workplace Safety Training and receive training on the unit or site-specific COVID-19 Prevention Plan. Additional research-related resources are available at EH&S COVID-19 Health and Safety Resources, from the Office of Research, and the UW COVID-19 FAQ for labs.

This includes work involving the SARS-CoV-2 virus or viral RNA, clinical samples suspected of containing SARS-CoV-2, and fixed or inactivated samples or tissues. See Biological Research Approval for more information and submission deadlines.
