The EH&S website was redesigned to be more user-friendly, easier to navigate and aligned with the UW brand style.
Please note that most web page URLs have changed; please update your bookmarks and materials accordingly.
The main menu options are organized by safety topic to quickly locate safety information.
We added features that you might find useful and can help our efforts to protect the health and safety of faculty, staff and students at the UW.
The Popular Services menu allows you to quickly access the most frequently requested information and services provided by EH&S.
The Report a Concern online form allows UW faculty, staff, students and visitors to anonymously report a safety concern or potentially hazardous situation before an accident or injury occurs. Previously, only accidents, injuries and near-misses were reported to EH&S after they occurred through the Online Accident Reporting System (OARS). While the OARS reports are essential to maintain successful safety programs, the Report a Concern feature is a mechanism to alert EH&S to unreported potentially hazardous situations or conditions. This information can help strengthen our prevention efforts and potentially reduce the risk for accidents and injuries.
Easily locate the information, forms and resources offered by EH&S on our improved search page. The search filters allow you to narrow down the list of over 550 documents on our site by category, job hazard and resource type to find the information you need. You might use the search filters to locate:
- Safety Manuals
- Radiation Safety forms
- Information on cleaning up spills
- Chemical standard operating procedures (SOPs)
We are committed to providing timely and accurate health and safety information and working closely with our campus partners to promote a culture of safety on campus.
