The University’s 2021 OSHA 300A Summaries are posted on the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) website.
The summaries are required to be posted from February 1, 2022 through April 30, 2022 in a location where employees can easily access them.
OSHA 300A summaries show the annual number and type of work-related recordable injuries and illnesses. Recordable injuries and illnesses are considered serious in nature and result when any of the following occur: death, days away from work, restricted work or transfer to another job, medical treatment beyond first aid, loss of consciousness, or a significant injury or illness diagnosed by a licensed health care professional.
The overall incidence rate for all UW increased from 3.56 in 2020 to 3.67 in 2021. The rate for the UW excluding the medical centers increased from 0.81 in 2020 to 0.92 in 2021. The changes were influenced primarily by the COVID-19 pandemic. View the incidence rate graph.
