The University’s 2020 OSHA 300A Summaries are posted on the Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) website. University units are required to post the summary that best matches their location from February 1, 2021 through April 30, 2021 in a location where employees can easily access them.
OSHA 300A Summaries show the number and type of work-related recordable injuries and illnesses. Recordable injuries and illnesses are considered serious in nature and result when any of the following occur: death, days away from work, restricted work or transfer to another job, medical treatment beyond first aid, loss of consciousness, or a significant injury or illness diagnosed by a licensed health care professional.
View the incidence rates of recordable injuries over time.
- The rate for all UW locations (including the medical centers) in 2020 increased from 3.11 in 2019 to 3.56 in 2020.
- The rate for the UW excluding the medical centers decreased from 1.6 in 2019 to 0.8 in 2020.
The changes in incidence rates from 2019 to 2020 were influenced primarily by the COVID-19 pandemic.
